Software and Drivers

The Photovoltaic Power Profile Emulation (PPPE) software automatically calculates solar array voltage and current profiles based on user-defined parameters. These profiles can be sequentially sent to a Magna-Power Electronics' power supply, which will emulate defined characteristics. The user can define a limitless number of profiles to be emulated and sequenced over a given time period. Please refer to the PPPE Software product page for additional information.

XR or D Version front panel required

The Remote Interface Software (RIS Panel) provides the user with a easy method to operate a Magna-Power Electronics' power supply under computer control, mirroring all the functionality available from the front panel. The Remote Interface Software has six windows: the Virtual Control Panel, Command Panel, Register Panel, Calibration Panel, Firmware Panel, and Modulation Panel. The Virtual Control Panel emulates the front panel of the power supply, the Command panel programs and reads SCPI commands with user friendly buttons, the Register Panel programs and reads registers, the Calibration Panel enables calibration of the digital potentiometers, the Firmware Panel enables the program stored internal to the power supply to be upgraded, and the Modulation Panel eases programming of modulation parameters.

Communications Supported: RS-232, LXI TCP/IP Ethernet, IEEE 488.2 GPIB, USB, RS-485

The IVI standards define an open driver architecture, a set of instrument classes, and shared software components. Together these provide critical elements needed for instrument interchangeability. IVI drivers provide many capabilities that go beyond those of VXIplug&play drivers. The IVI specifications have been developed to enable drivers with a consistent and high standard of quality, usability, and completeness.

Programming Environments Supported by IVI Driver:

Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual Basic .NET, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, MATLAB, Measure Foundry, PAWS, Visual Basic 6.0, Agilent VEE Pro; Please refer to the IVI Getting Started Guide for additional information
