3.1. Inspection
The ML Series MagnaDC power supply ships crated and bolted to a heavy-duty pallet. A 500 kW system ships as one crate weighing 7300 lbs (3311 kg). A 1000 kW system ships as two crates: the power supply at 5500 lbs (2495 kg) and the harmonic neutralizer at 5000 lbs (2268 kg). Before uncrating, inspect each crate and pallet for evidence of rough handling in transit, and check that the crate has remained upright.
Follow the uncrating instructions sheet included with the shipment when removing the cabinet from its pallet. Carefully unpack the ML Series MagnaDC power supply and accessories, saving all packing materials and included enclosures until the installation is complete.
Inspect the product for possible shipping damage. Check that there are no broken knobs or connectors, the external surface is not scratched or dented, the meter faces are not damaged, and all controls move freely. Open the rear access panels and confirm that no internal assemblies have shifted, that the AC input breaker operates freely, and that no coolant fittings have been loosened or damaged in transit. Any external damage may be an indication of internal damage. If there is any damage, notify the shipping carrier and Magna-Power immediately: magna-power.com/support.

The DC output bus covers listed above are shipped loose and must be installed after the DC output connections are made, as described in Protective Covers. Retain the uncrating instructions sheet until the cabinet has been moved to its final location and removed from its pallet.
Note
The mating half of the Solenoid Bypass connector is not supplied. If the installation requires the solenoid bypass, obtain the mating connector and terminals listed in Solenoid bypass connectors by product series before commissioning.
