Magna-Power Electronics Announces Standard 2 Week Lead-time on Products 1.5 kW to 15 kW
Magna-Power Electronics, a leader in high power programmable DC power supplies, announced 2 week lead-time for its products spanning power levels 1.5 kW to 15 kW, which includes the newly introduced 1U SL Series. With its vertically integrated manufacturing and engineering facility in Flemington, NJ USA, the company made significant investment in material, equipment, manufacturing space and improved processes to achieve the reduced lead-time.
This new lead-time reduction exemplifies Magna-Power Electronics investment in manufacturing resources and commitment to US manufacturing.
Magna-Power Electronics offers among the broadest range of programmable DC power supplies available, spanning power output from 1.5 kW to 2000 kW+, voltage output ranging from 0-5 Vdc to 0-4000 Vdc and current output ranging from 0-1.2 Adc to 0-24000 Adc. "With thousands of configurations for our products, it’s nearly impossible to stock our products for immediate delivery," said Adam Pitel, Director of Business Development. "Despite this challenge, customers and their applications still demand short lead-times for power supplies. This new lead-time reduction exemplifies Magna-Power Electronics investment in manufacturing resources and commitment to US manufacturing."
Earlier in 2013, Magna-Power Electronics released its first 1U programmable DC power supply— the SL Series—with 54 models spanning 1.5 kW, 2.6 kW and 4 kW power levels. To accommodate overwhelming demand, the company has been rapidly ramping up production of this series to make lead-times consistent with the rest of the low- to medium-power rack-mount product lines.
All Magna-Power Electronics power supplies models come standard with front panel control, external 37-pin isolated analog and digital I/O, and a RS232 computer programming interface. For computer communications, Remote Interface Software is provided, along with Magna-Power Electronics IVI Driver, enabling programming from a variety of environments, including LabVIEW and Visual Studio. Communication options includes LXI TCP/IP Ethernet Interface (+LXI), IEEE-488 GPIB Interface (+GPIB), and USB Edgeport (+USB).
In early-2012, the company completed an expansion, which more than doubled its Flemington, NJ USA manufacturing facility and added a new research and development center. The company’s first international sales office, Magna-Power Electronics GmbH, also opened in 2012. The company continued construction at its headquarters with the third phase of its manufacturing facility expansion, which was completed in early 2013.
