RS232 interface configuration settings
All MagnaDC programmable DC power supplies come standard with RS232 interface port (JS3) via which the product can be fully controlled and monitored. Table 1 details the required RS232 interface configuration settings. Whether making a direct connection to a computer or using an RS232 to USB adapter, the computer's connection settings must reflect the values from Table 1. Some RS232 to USB adapters may require changing settings in the computer's Device Manager to match the configuration from Table 1.

Table 2 provides the RS232 terminal definition. Only Rx (Pin 2), Tx (Pin 3) and Ground (Pin 5) pins are required.
